Rhode Island Authors Showcase - Featuring Brielle Lilygarten!
The Rhode Island Authors Showcase is back! Each day in November, I’ll be featuring a different RI author. Each post features a giveaway – a book, an anthology, or something else! All you have to do to be eligible for the daily drawing is leave a comment on the blog post. I’ll use a random number generator to pick a winner one week after the blog post (to give you time to catch up).

Where is your hometown? Providence
What is the genre you write? Children’s books (fiction)
What is the title of your books: Fishy, Fishy (2021)
Who are your favorite authors? Elin Hilderbrand, Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner
What were your favorite books growing up? The BabySitters Club series, Sweet Valley series, Goosebumps series
What do you like best about writing? I like being able to get lost in a different world and create characters that readers will fall in love with
What do find most challenging about writing? Sometimes just simply getting started! Once I start writing, the ideas usually just flow, but sometimes it is difficult to think about what to write about and in which direction I want to take it.
Where do you draw your inspiration? I draw my inspiration from my family and past life experiences.
You’ve just been given the chance to collaborate on a book with Elin Hilderbrand. What’s the title going to be? Since her books always take place on Nantucket the title would be Nantucket Nostalgia.
