Farms and Magic and War, oh my.
Lisa Jacob also writes under the pen names L.A. Jacob, Jake Logan, and Maxwell Thomas. She has written a total of eleven novels, and many short stories that are available to download for just 99 cents through her publisher’s website, https://waterdragonpublishing.com/. When Lisa first began writing, she was, in her own words, "too scared to use my real name, which is why Jake Logan exists." Jake Logan wrote Homecoming (link here https://tinyurl.com/2d5vnxkp), which is an urban fantasy about a mage that returns home from Afghanistan and how he has to deal with not using magic at home.
Eventually she felt braver and chose to use her initials (L.A.). Her characters are mostly male, and she didn’t want people to think that because she's female, she couldn’t write a good male character! Her most recent novel, Carnival Farm https://paperangelpress.com/carnival-farm/, is about a veterinarian who strives to save the neglected animals of a carnival petting zoo.
