RI Authors Showcase and Giveaway! Meet Dr. Bary Fleet

Each day this monh, meet a Rhode Island author! Comment on this blog post for a chance to win our Grand Prize (a $200 Amazon gift card) or our Bonus Prize (a $100 Amazon gift card). Some authors are giving away books, too - you comment enters you into their drawing as well. (See details at the bottom of this page)

At age 68, Dr. Bary Fleet went from being the athlete nobody wanted in gym class to the athlete everybody wants to be like. That year, Bary—who had been told he wasn’t good at anything—ran his first triathlon. The following year, he was invited by the U.S. Triathlon Association to try out to represent the U.S. in the World Championships. In the meantime, he celebrated his 70th birthday by completing a Spartan Trifecta. In Move into Your Magnificence, Bary offers a glimpse into what led to his own transformation and shares 101 humorous, serious, and thought-provoking short observations on life. Each observation is followed by an invitation to action—and a guarantee that if you accept his invitation, you’ll discover your own life of passion, purpose, and joy. Bestselling author Jack Canfield (author of Chicken Soup for the Soul) describes Move into Your Magnificence as a daily dose of spiritual/psychological vitamins. Have you had your special vitamins today?

You can also find Dr. Fleet in this year's anthology, Hope, where his short story "How Screen Time Created Intimacy" is featured.

Bary has generously offered to send an autographed copy of his book to one lucky winner. Just leave a comment on this post, and you're entered to win (as well as being entered into our Grand Prize and Bonus Prize drawings).

In addition to being a pastor, Bary Fleet has spent more than 30 years teaching leadership and psychology at Emory University, Bryant University, and Johnson and Wales University. He is also on the faculty at the Holmes Institute for Consciousness Studies. He has been the program director of a non-profit counseling center as well as having his own private practice. He is a TEDx speaker and a Canfield Certified Success Coach.
