There’s no blog post today, but I’ll be back tomorrow to conclude this year’s A to Z Challenge with the letter “Z.”
But it’s the last Sunday in April, and I’m featuring Grammy Award winners on Sundays. The winner of Album of the Year went to Glen Campbell and “By the Time I Get to Phoenix.”
Here is Mr. Campbell performing the title song of the album:

One of my favorite artists of all time. Spectacular guitarist, great singer, good man. I was heartbroken when I learned he had Alzheimer’s, and said a prayer of thanksgiving when he died. No one deserves that kind of death. Interesting thing was he could still play even as the disease progressed.

I think that was written by Jimmy Webb, who wrote a lot of his songs. Such a good writer/singer combination.
