I love the violin. I wish I could play it. First seen in 16th century Italy, the best-known and most prized instruments were made by the Stradivari, Guarneri, and Amati families.
There are some notable violinists, but my favorite performer is without a doubt Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. I’ve never seen anyone play with as much passion.
I used to play, but it’s been so many years I’m more than rusty! I should take a few lessons. It’s a beautiful instrument 🙂

My father in law used to play the violin. He liked Bluegrass music the best.
It is a beautiful sound if you know how to play it.

For me, I either love something played on the violin or I hate it. Not sure if it is the instrument, the song or the player.
